Hi Little bird,
Two things I would suggest are Portland Saturday Market, and Powell's Books. They have a really cool rare books section Smile

Little Bird,
There are a lot of fun things to do around town. What are your kids interested in? There are the classics: The Zoo, Oaks Park, riding up and down the tram for a birdseye view, eating at food carts...or do their taste run a little more eclectic? Archery ranges, waterfront bicycle tours, Jet boat river tour, OMSI. That is just around the city, further out you get beach or mountain. There is really something for everyone. Smile
